Den Filter

Welcome to Pack 1864!

We are the best Cub Scout Pack in the area and invite any 1st through 5th grade boys to join us. Our Pack has about 90 boys organized by dens. Each den usually has 8 –12 boys of the same grade level. Boys may join at any grade, whether or not they’ve been scouts before. Scouting is fun with a purpose: learning respect for themselves and others while developing a strong character. Pack 1864 is dedicated to a lively Cub Scout experience with activities that capture the interest of boys yet are fun for the entire family.

Our dens -

  • 1st graders are Tigers
  • 2nd graders are Wolves
  • 3rd graders are Bears
  • 4th and 5th graders are Webelos

Our affiliations –

  • Truro Homes Association is our charter organization.
  • Pack 1864 is in the Patriot District of the National Capital Area Council, Boy Scouts of America.
  • Our Pack Meetings are typically held once per month at the Wakefield Forest Elementary School.

Spring Campout at Camp Highroad - Please Read and Register

Posted on Apr 22 2017 - 9:49pm

The Spring Family Campout, this year at Camp Highroad in Middleburg, VA, is just around the corner. PLEASE TAKE SOME TIME AND READ THE ATTACHED FLYER; then find a link on the flyer or below to register your scout, siblings and yourself. This year we must get an accurate head count for the camp, since some activities require supervision by camp staff which must be arranged in advance. Camp Highroad supervised activities include zip lines for the Web’s, a challenge course and team building for the Bears, a Creek Walk for the Wolves and Tigers. We need the completed survey by Monday, May 1. A detailed schedule and other information will be posted at a later date. (*Scouts and siblings must be 10 years old to use the Zip Line).
