Den Filter

Welcome to Pack 1864!

We are the best Cub Scout Pack in the area and invite any 1st through 5th grade boys to join us. Our Pack has about 90 boys organized by dens. Each den usually has 8 –12 boys of the same grade level. Boys may join at any grade, whether or not they’ve been scouts before. Scouting is fun with a purpose: learning respect for themselves and others while developing a strong character. Pack 1864 is dedicated to a lively Cub Scout experience with activities that capture the interest of boys yet are fun for the entire family.

Our dens -

  • 1st graders are Tigers
  • 2nd graders are Wolves
  • 3rd graders are Bears
  • 4th and 5th graders are Webelos

Our affiliations –

  • Truro Homes Association is our charter organization.
  • Pack 1864 is in the Patriot District of the National Capital Area Council, Boy Scouts of America.
  • Our Pack Meetings are typically held once per month at the Wakefield Forest Elementary School.

I know we are all wrapped up in Back to School schedules, but Popcorn sales have begun. Selling popcorn is the only way that our pack raises funds for all of our activities throughout the year. We wouldn't be able to do some of the fun activities without selling popcorn. The easiest way to participate is through Show and Sell opportunities. For those new to all this, Show n Sells are popcorn booths set up outside of a store. We have a 3 hour window where we can sell to customers. We break it into 1 hour time slots and ask the Scouts to sign up for an hour. Sales totals are split across the boys for that hour. This is a great way to participate without going door to door. We are asking everyone to sign up for at least an hour timeslot. If you really want to win popcorn sales prizes you can sign up for more. 2 scouts and 1 adult minimum per hour timeslot.
